Nuclear

Dearborn is a trusted supplier to the nuclear industry.

Dearborn, Inc. has been serving the nuclear industry since 1947, alongside the beginning of the development of drilled components for the first U.S. Navy nuclear submarines.

In fact, the Dearborn Borecentric® process was designed to manufacture parts and/or tubing with previously unattainable tolerances and helped usher in the modern “Nuclear Navy.”

The nuclear parts that we produce include reactor core components for both test reactors and commercial reactors, and are typically made out of Inconel® and other difficult-to-work-with materials including zirconium, hafnium and beryllium. These are used in both commercial and military applications.
